Is it possible to kill the ubermorph

Like most people have said, blow his limbs off, stasis him then leg it. I had maxed suit, maxed plasma cutter, maxed assault rifle, a few large medkits, a sticky grenades launcher just so I could sell the ammo that dropped, one stasis pack and one node for locked doors. Ubermorph - Dead Space 2 EA Horror games are the perfect breeding ground for enemies that can't be killed. Yeah but it doesn't even matter because he doesn't follow you out of that room anyway. That room goes to the final boss. I just know that I was really unsatisfied letting it live, so I had to go back and find a way to finish it off.
